To make accessing your HSBC accounts safe and secure, we require that you create your log on credentials composed of a unique Username along with a strong Password. This combination of information is then authenticated by HSBC's system to verify who you are before providing account access.
An additional Password is required for using Personal Internet Banking along with your Internet Banking Username. It provides an extra level of protection if your other credentials were to become compromised. You'll create your Password and then be asked to enter random characters from it to access your Internet Banking service. The added Password will help prevent your credentials from being stolen by keylogging software, hackers or viruses.
